Something’s different. Something’s new. To put it lightly…your whole world has just been turned inside out. The most life-changing moment you will EVER experience. Now, we can come together in this #MomCafe and discuss this truly beautiful journey. Such a JOYOUS occasion…which it is! I mean just look at that ‘wittle face’…But the other side of this wonderful reality, shows itself when you think you know what’s going on, and you have No…IDEA!
Welcome to Motherhood.
There are a few of us (moms) that frequent this cafe. Some new. Some have done this a few times over. Some have help. Some only themselves. It’s a handful of beautiful crazy. No matter our #MomStory, we may all be able to agree that some days feel less than…uh…beautiful. Why paint a perfect picture that doesn’t always exist? Of course, if we could manage painting the Mona-Lisa, we would. I’m sure we definitely have all tried. But sometimes…just sometimes, making it out the front door without cheeto stains on our pants counts as success !
#MomsCafeBlog is here for you to spill the tea honey! Truths and Triumphs. Sit and escape the noise.
Speaking of tea, here’s a great option, if you need to unwind:
And You Are Thankful For?
Thanksgiving is upon us…not another “What are you thankful for post?” My six year old just completed that homework assignment. It was precious. What am I thankful for? Family, friends, love…
…and Dollar Store!
When you are trying to support your family, the holiday season can get pretty rough and your pockets pretty empty. I know I have been there on more than one occasion.
When you truly love the holiday season in all it’s glory, you can find yourself a bit saddened to think that you won’t be able to celebrate how I first envisioned; but priorities triumph over any festivities. Trying to stomach the look on a disappointed face and suppress the tears becomes almost impossible.
And then there was Dollar Tree!
I went on a complete cornucopia haul! Spent a whopping $23.57. I’m talking wall-hangs, pumpkin/squash figurines… “You get a turkey placemat…you get a placemat…everyone gets a placeeeemaaaaattttt!”
I have even managed to put together my own centerpiece complete with vase!
My entire home is reasonably adorned with festivity! And if I can be completely honest, the quality of products I find in Dollar Tree alone is truly amazing. Nothing looks cheap and flimsy…unless you want it to look that way, as a whimsical feel. You’re happy, children are smiling, your guests think you went to Michael’s…and your pockets are still intact.
That is what I am thankful for. I am thankful I have learned to stretch a dollar, and the retailers who help me to do so.
Comment which #Momhacks you are most thankful for.
